Hi, I’m Tiera.
I’m a content and communications strategist. I’ve spent the last few years in healthcare and higher education working on content that sits somewhere between “this is important” and “no one wants to read this,” and figuring out how to close that gap.
Most of my work is less about writing and more about getting the message right. What are we actually trying to say? Who is it for? Why isn’t it landing?
I usually work at the intersection of strategy, creative, and stakeholder priorities to shape messaging before it turns into content, and making sure what goes out makes sense to the people it’s meant for.
I’ve worked on engagement and communications campaigns, executive thought leadership, strategic digital content, and multi-channel messaging across a mix of industries, but the through line is always the same: make it clear, make it useful, and make it land.
If the message matters (it always does), I make sure it gets there.
BPD (formerly Revive)
2021 – Current
I lead content strategy for hospitals, health systems, and healthcare organizations, shaping how they position themselves across various complex healthcare audiences.
A lot of the work starts before anything is written. I dig into the audience, the gaps, and what’s not landing, then build the messaging and content approach from there. From there, I develop everything from executive thought leadership for LinkedIn and white papers to campaign content and social, depending on what the work calls for.
I work closely with strategy, creative, and client teams to move ideas from early thinking to execution, making sure the message holds up across formats, channels, and audiences. I’ve also led engagement strategies for executives and organizations that become content systems that go beyond posting and actually drive conversation and engagement.
My work has supported multi-channel campaigns, award-winning healthcare documentaries, and engagement strategies used across national healthcare organizations, helping turn complex topics into content that people understand and act on.
Frontier Nursing University
2019 – 2021
As Social Media & Communications Manager at Frontier Nursing University, I led social and content strategy for a university with a strong, mission-driven story, and made sure that people saw it.
I built content around the voices that mattered most—students, alumni, and faculty—and turned that into social that drove both engagement and enrollment.
The work ranged from day-to-day social to larger campaigns, including national moments like National Midwifery Week and National Nurse Practitioner Week, where storytelling and timing really mattered. That work contributed to measurable engagement growth and industry recognition, including a PRSA award for campaign performance.
I partnered across teams to keep the voice consistent and the message clear, especially as it showed up across different audiences and platforms. I also stayed close to the audience on the community side, managing conversations online, responding in real time, and making sure the brand felt human, not institutional. That consistency helped strengthen audience trust and sustain daily engagement across channels.
